Family Run Guesthouse and Restaurant

The family run guesthouse and restaurant Hradní Bašta overlooks the main square of the picturesque town of Bečov nad Teplou, situated ca 20 km from Karlovy Vary (in the direction of Plzeň) in the protected Slavkov Forest National Park. The family run guesthouse and restaurant Hradní Bašta has been extensively renovated over the last 7 years. The guesthouse comprises two parts. One is the old, one storey house from 1761 that has recently been renovated and has a gateway leading to the former Jewish quarters (the so called Jewish Gate). Before WWII a hat-maker, Anton Wölfl used to live here. During the reconstruction works a lot of attention was paid to maintaining the original character of the building, the original timber framed walls were preserved together with the wooden floors and ceilings. The upper restaurant, wine cellar  and 8 rooms  are situated in this renovated part of the house. The new extension houses 9 rooms,  the lower restaurant, a conference hall and a wine shop.

There are many sporting and recreational activities available all year round: hiking, cycling, fishing, mushroom-picking in the wonderful surrounding countryside and sightseeing with many interesting castles and manor houses in the local area.

The guesthouse can provide accommodation  for up to 50 persons, the restaurant is open all year round, drinks and food are served on the outside terraces or in the wine cellar  and there is private parking.  The lower restaurant  has a hall and a LCD projector making it suitable for corporate events, training, banquets, celebrations and weddings. The guesthouse facilities also comprise a pond.
